As a new Member/Seller on eBay, you start off with zero Feedback. Feedback is the number beside your User ID and with each eBay transaction, the Seller can only leave a Positive Feedback for the Buyer. The Buyer can leave the appropriate Positive, Neutral or Negative Feedback for the Seller. Each unique positive comment will increase your Feedback by one, each unique negative comment will decrease your Feedback by one.

Sometimes, people like to deal with Sellers who have more experience, therefore, it is a good idea to make some purchases on eBay, just to build up a few Feedbacks, before selling for the first time. This will also give you a great idea of how to become a Seller.
